Badminton Canada Welcomes Valérie St-Jacques to the Board of Directors

Badminton Canada is proud to appoint Valérie St-Jacques to the BCAN Board of Directors.
St-Jacques joins the Board of Directors with a wealth of knowledge and success in badminton. She competed nationally and internationally with Badminton Canada for 17 years (1994-2011) where she was crowned the 2009 Women's Doubles Pan American Champion, and the 2012-2013 UQAM athlete of the year after an undefeated season in Women's Singles.
After a successful career as a badminton athlete, St-Jacques transitioned to coaching where her accomplishments continued, receiving the coach of the year award from the Quebec Student Sports Network (RSEQ) circuit. Professionally St-Jacques has experience as a project management advisor, where she has previously worked as an advisor at the Olympic Park in Montreal, as well at Kinatex Sports Physio Longueuil and Boucherville, and currently works for Hydro-Quebec.
With her professional experience, along with her talents and passion for badminton, she will be a huge asset for Badminton Canada in collectively pursuing the betterment of our sport.
